WWE Main Event 8/7/2013 Results and Review

WWE Main Event 8/7/2013 Results and Review

Last week's show is here:

The Shield vs. Mark Henry & The Usos.

The Shield won with a Seth Rollins single footstomp. The match was decent but didn't pick up until Mark Henry's hot tag. He did a cool shoulderblock sending two Shield's flying. Otherwise, they took it mostly easy here and their weren't many big moves and no dives minus the end.

The Shield cut a promo. Ambrose said he was the real champion and the WWE Champion might as well be the World Heavyweight Champion. He told the WWE Universe to catch up.

Natalya vs. Aksana

Natalya beat Aksana with a sharpshooter. Fun match. Aksana debuted some nice kicks to the side and worked the knee of Natalya. She then got cocky and Natalya capitalized for the win. Rating:***

WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel vs. Sin Cara
Paul Heyman is at the booth.

"Worry. When you see Paul Heyman, worry." - Paul Heyman on whether the announcers should worry about Brock showing up

They talked about The Miz being a Paul Heyman guy. I do not remember that angle at all.

Curtis Axel won with his cutter into a facebuster. The match was too long. It went atleast 15 minutes and closer to 17. There was no reason for these two to get his much time and it really hurt the match. Paul was also kinda of distracting on commentary as he was arguing the whole time.

Overall thoughts: The show was fine as a whole. There were 2 good matches and the last match would have been better with less time.
